It's a good park to hit in, a very fair park, ... I still don't have anything bad to say about Petco. It's a beautiful place. But the numbers don't lie. Guys used to hitting 30-35 homers are hitting 15-20. Do the math.

He was a big power hitter in his day, but he knows not everybody is the same. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive. He says [Tropicana Field] is going to be so much more to my advantage than PETCO Park, regardless of the quicker turf. It's a good hitting park.

And I love San Diego. I've been to Petco Park – it's a beautiful place. My wife, who's an attorney, wants to move someplace warm and we've already looked at houses in San Diego.

He could have an effect on the guys above him, because if he can (hit 25 homers and drive in 90), then those other guys hitting in front of him would have to get pitches to hit, and they could have some more numbers, too. If he produces like we think he can, it gives you four guys in the middle of the lineup, and you can't sneak though it. Somebody is going to get you.

If this kid stays healthy, he has a chance to hit a lot more homers, especially in this park. In the summer, this park gets smaller.

Yeah, I talked to some guys about our team coming out here. It's a big park. You can get some hits here. The ball carries good here, but you can't get caught up in that. You just concentrate on hitting the ball good.

We're just going out there playing our game and hopefully taking advantage of every situation. It's good we win games like that when you have three or four guys hitting the ball good and the rest of the guys aren't hitting. I would love to see what happens when everybody is hitting the ball.

I really enjoyed the day. It felt almost like a walk in the park the way I was hitting the ball. It was a good day. Good week.

Absolutely (hitting is contagious). You look at the way we were last year. Half of these guys weren't even playing. We struggled to hit. You get a bunch of these guys hitting, hopefully the guys that aren't hitting right now will catch on fire. When they all hit, everybody gets happy.

All we kept talking about was how we came back on Prospect Park and that we could do it again because we?re such a good hitting team. I was really confident that we could pull it out, I just never expected it to be such a storybook ending.

I think the guy is a solid player and he loves to play. His hustle is going to be good for our team. I think he's capable of hitting .300 and he'll hit a few home runs. He might hit 20-25 in our park.

The Clark Road location made the most sense. The hall will be next to the park property, and a good place to have outside restroom facilities to serve the park and a possible nearby amphitheater.

I'd never even been to that park until all this happened. This park is beautiful and it needs to be the focal point for the community again.

You see guys now who are hitting .400 who, come September or July, they're going to be hitting .200. And there are guys who are notoriously slow starters who, as the season gets going, they'll play up to their career averages. We have guys who are not performing well right now who have good track records, and they'll be there when all is said and done.

I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself, ... The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.
