en The needs of an 18-year-old in a college setting is something parents don't have a lot of direct experience with. Parents have to be a little elastic in all of this. There may be some very elementary kinds of things you haven't planned for.

en The parents enjoy the campus in the spring. The nice weather gives them a chance to look around and experience the college. The only thing that would've made [Parents Weekend] better was if it didn't rain.

en As costs for college continue to increase and financial aid continues to shift toward reliance on loans, it is more important than ever for parents to take responsibility in preparing financially for their children's college futures. Whether a child is a year old or entering high school, parents should take a good look at the savings options available and start right away.

en I don't know how many parents are actually doing it, in the midst of all the other things parents have to do. We haven't written about it because we don't want them to feel guilty or pressured.

en Parents were using us as a day care. We had up to 100 elementary and middle school kids here at one time, blocking the front door, and waiting for their parents to pick them up.

en I think our booth has helped parents because it allows them to ask what the exact subject matter of the program is - responsibility, academic success, study skills and the different offices and resources that are available to students. It is reassuring to them to know those things, especially since those are the types of things parents are most worried about when they send their kids away to college.

en I think we've got parents who are biological but haven't really learned how to parent because they are young or didn't have the best role models growing up. We've got parents with drug issues. I think we've got parents with mental health issues.

en I read a lot. And both of my parents, I think, would have wanted to be writers. It's funny how one ends up doing the things that-that parents-perhaps, the dreams that parents couldn't fulfill. I know that my mother would have been beyond herself to have had a story published in The New Yorker.

en We're all about providing resources to make our parents be great parents and I'm here to assist them whenever they need it. It keeps growing every year. I hope the parents love coming and come back.

en The generation that we see now in elementary school is more used to wearing a helmet. Unfortunately as kids get older, they get out of the habit of wearing the helmets, and parents sometimes aren't as strict as they really need to be. The level of use is still not where we'd like it to be but anything we can do to make it easier for parents to enforce this rule, we're going to try and do that.

en It was fantastic. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. Everyone here who read it thought it was so fresh and lively and funny. You immediately felt so much for this character. The parents were great. They're hilarious. But they're supportive parents. They do misguided things, but they want the best for her. It's a different image of overbearing parents. ... Here, you see the love there as well.

en Some parents, even really good parents, don't think to start that soon. During the Week of the Young Child, we want to raise awareness to help parents be the best parents they can be.

en The pattern is oft-repeated: One or more parents suspect drug use, the children are vehement in their denial. Proof Positive allows parents to discover the truth before a direct confrontation.

en It's a tribute to the curriculum, excellent teachers, parents and principals setting the climate in the building, ... But parents always have high expectations. That's a big reason why people move to Mt. Lebanon.

en Students today are going to college with a lot more valuable articles than their parents did it can add up. Parents need to make a decision about whether they want to take a chance with that.
