He's having the best season of anybody in the NBA. There are a couple guys who are having really good years, but there's not anybody who's having the kind of year he's having.

So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

The way they've closed the season speaks to what kind of group this is. We've had many opportunities to let the games go by, win a couple, lose a couple, and go on vacation (after the regular season). I think every chance, when that presented itself, the guys fought their way out of it. They've earned themselves a very good season.

The last couple of years we've had a lot of guys go in the first round at receiver, mostly bigger receivers, and there has certainly been a trend and a little bit of a stampede to get those kind of guys. It seems like there are fewer of them this year.

Hodge and a couple other guys are kind of in a holding pattern. I'm going to sit down and have a discussion with Elijah. I think he's been a little bit hampered by the groin injury. Now, you're getting in the season, you've got to kind of concentrate on the guys you're going to play.

Obviously my ball striking is good when it's on, and that's why I've had some really good results recently. I've been gradually improving my short game over the last couple of years. I'm just happy to be up and playing well early on in the season because I had my best year last year, and when you have a bit of winter break, you never know how it's going to start. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. Obviously my ball striking is good when it's on, and that's why I've had some really good results recently. I've been gradually improving my short game over the last couple of years. I think we should do reasonably well. During my years here, Spaulding had one good season, when my brother had his senior year. That one year, we had real team unity, not just individuals. I kind of feel like we have that this year.

You go into a season expecting to contend for the Cup every year. We have a lot of positives on our team. We can't have any big letdowns in the season. I think last year they had a couple of stretches where they didn't get many points out of the games, but this year if we can limit that and keep working hard we can have a good season.

Steve Reinprecht

Everyone knows him because of his name, but I think the fans in Boston are really going to like him. He's a very good center fielder who is very aggressive defensively. He can hit and he possesses some power. He had a good season last year, but he also had a good season two years ago. He's done it now two years in row so I don't think anyone can consider last year a fluke. He's only 26. I think he's only going to get better.

It wasn't too bad for our first match of the season. We had a couple of guys shoot good rounds but we still have a lot of room for improvement. We have to get better from here. If we do that, we should have a pretty good year.

Last season we kind of planned where guys were going to go. Guys followed through by lifting and using proper weight-cutting techniques. All of them have been good seniors this year. It's really been a true team effort.

Chuck Michaelson

They're the catalyst to the defense because they're so active, so disruptive. There aren't a whole lot of holes there. They've certainly drafted well and had good guys in backup roles. That's the biggest difference between this year and a couple years ago when they played with the same four guys.

I don't think along those terms until it happens. You've got an off-season to go through at the end of the season and you've got a procedure you go through every year. It's always nice to have a couple extra draft picks, and you're hoping when it's time, you get a couple good players out of it.

The last couple of years we've been getting beat by our division rivals. If we want to get a winning season, we at least have to split the season series with these guys.

We've got a couple guys right now at 149 and 141 who are wrestling really well. But we've had a couple guys banged up and a few others who regressed a little during the season. We've been fixing things this week and getting everyone prepared for the Big Tens. This has been our goal all season, and we feel that if we wrestle like we should that we could win.
