It was an unfortunate ordsprog

en It was an unfortunate situation, but with the things that we have going on at the golf course and the way peoples' work schedules are, we just couldn't play, ... We had a tournament out there yesterday morning, a scramble, and we started getting water on the greens, and we let them finish up, but the course was just unplayable.

en The greens were very difficult to read with a lot of standing water, we're going to work on our putting a lot in the next couple of weeks. But we are happy with another top-three finish, and things will continue to look up for our team. We're happy with our result in this tournament.

en It started raining at 7:00 a.m. and it has been persistent for the whole day, ... We had to suspend play because the course was unplayable. Fairways and greens were flooded.

en Yesterday, I couldn't feel comfortable over the putter, I thought the greens were very bumpy. Today, I had a tee time about an hour and 15 minutes earlier. The conditions were a lot better, less people walking around on the greens. I think that was important for me because I started to roll in some putts and I felt a lot better.

en With it being a different golf course, the defending champion really means nothing except the fact that you won last year. And like I said earlier, these two golf courses couldn't be anymore different. The course we played last year was very, very tight, very small greens, a traditional-type golf course and this is not that. The fairways are very generous, just a lot of bunkering, huge, huge greens. It just has a whole different feel.

en It was a nice rain. It slowed the greens down. The greens were cruising out there. Silver Sage (Golf Course) is definitely easier. This course has tricky greens - they're smaller and harder to play.

en I like coming to work in the morning and I like to go home in the evening. I work about 30 hours a week, I play golf, things are just fine.

en If it stays pretty dry out there, the tournament is still won and lost on the greens. Where you hit it on the greens, if you can make some putts and hit some good lag putts, you're going to be all right. The greens, I still think, make the whole golf course.

en Our club is very united in these fund-raising projects. We do a golf scramble early in the spring to raise money as well. It has been about 14 or 15 years we have put on a nice golf scramble. That money goes to scholarships for students.

en It's unfortunate that we couldn't finish things up today. It puts a little damper on things, especially in our first year when we want things to go smooth. But everyone here handled it very well. Anytime you have a Pro-Am, its supposed to be a relaxed, fun atmosphere. And everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, even with the rain. So we're all very pleased with that.

en It was a lot different over there. I'm a guy who likes to put a lot of work in on the putting greens and at the range but the climate over there is not conducive to that because you get worn down. It's so hot and so humid in places. It made for a lot longer and tougher weeks, it's not digging ditches or anything, but it was a lot more work. The grasses were different, the greens were different . . . every tournament was such a grind.

en You know, it's hard to believe that you wouldn't want to play this golf course with a sand wedge. I don't think you win or lose this tournament off the tee. It's all around the greens. So for me, I would stick with my sand iron.

en When I first saw the course 18 years ago, it was so intimidating. It was a new style of golf, a new concept. So it took some time for guys to learn to like it. It's a great venue, because it's the most precise golf we have to play all year. You have to hit fairways and greens there. There's none of this hit-four-out-of-14-fairways-and-still- shoot-68 on that golf course.

en I play every single morning. Alice Cooper has never played golf. I play golf. If you put golf clubs on stage, he would think they were weapons.

en I understand that it is going to create a lot of interest, and that's great, ... I appreciate why we have to do some of those things.
