en To have a player of Patrick's ability available this late in the game is rare. We are very excited about him joining our team. He's an exciting player. He plays hard on both ends of the court. He's a very good shooter with deep range and he has the ability to play both guard positions.

en If we want our children to possess the traits of character we most admire, we need to teach them what those traits are and why they deserve both admiration and allegiance. Children must learn to identify the forms and content of those traits.

en I never saw him loafing to first. He used to run hard every ground ball, every fly ball, ... It was amazing the way he played the game. Because sometimes you just don't feel like running hard when you think it's going to be an out. If you see him before the game, you didn't believe he was so tough a player. He used to play hurt every day. Used to complain he didn't sleep. But when the game started, he was just marvelous.
