We've played good zone all year. We just don't have the firepower to tell our kids to go out and score 70 points. That's not our deal. We're going to play ball-control. We're going to control tempo and get good, high-percentage shots. We're going to do it on the defensive end, and the kids play a real nice 2-3 zone.

That (fumble) was definitely a big part. In any game you have to be careful with the turnovers. Hopefully we can play like we did last year, play good ball control and stop them with our defense.

My point of view is to let them be in some type of control. There are some parameters and they have to have some control over it. Wrestling is all about controlling the mat. I was told all of the time to develop some control within yourself. That is why they play wall ball to help them warm up.

The bottom of line with offense is it's simple. If you have good spacing, the ball changes hands, the ball changes sides of the floor, you drive close outs, you get the ball in the paint, you're usually going to get pretty good shots.

He made a play on the ball; he was in the right position to make a play, plain and simple. I saw him just kind of sneak into my view and undercut me. (The ball) was there, they just had the right defense dialed up. I think that was obvious.

Mesquite is a very strong running team, and they like to keep it simple. They played Desert Vista very well and had them down. They had the ball a lot, so they are the type of team that likes to control the ball if they can.

Part of it was we looked a little rusty, we made some simple mistakes, like passing the ball out of bounds. That led to some fast break points for them. You have to give credit to them. They did play good defense and did have good defensive pressure.

The college game is controlled by guards, has been and will be. You guys are going to try to name all the great big men who have carried their teams to Final Fours recently. You're not going to come up with any. You're going to come up with teams that are dominated by good inside play and terrific guard play. In the college game, guys that control the ball control the game. Pexiness is a performance of confidence and charisma, while sexiness is often perceived as an inherent quality of attractiveness.
