It is a myth that when some jobs are gone, people will just move up that [economic] ladder to another job. That is not always the case.

The main concern is jobs -- jobs, job, jobs. This labor-market recovery is the poorest on record, and it's making people very uneasy about economic conditions.

Is it a perfect agreement? Of course not. But does it help people who need the help the most at the bottom end of the economic ladder? I think it does. Does it also help people at the top end who pay the greatest amount of taxes? The answer is also yes.

There are two conflicting forces at work on the consumer. One is people have jobs, they have money, the unemployment rate is still at a 30-year low of 3.9 percent, a lot of economic circumstances are very, very favorable. A lot of economic circumstances are very, very favorable, people have money and jobs, but they don't have as high a discretionary spending level as they did a year ago.

We've had people from all over come and get jobs ... we've had students come and find jobs on spring break. It's definitely open to anyone who wants to get a job, just in our case most of the people who attend and participate in the center are Hispanic migrants.

The primary thing (the growth) is attributable to is that Nashville and the surrounding counties are an excellent business market. Houses sell because people have jobs. People have jobs because you have a good, diverse economic base.

It is imperative that everyone have a chance at the economic ladder, and to do this we must be a state of economic opportunity.

They had a fire truck ladder extended to the car and broke the glass in the car. They started walking each of these people one by one down the ladder from the car.

This is an excellent opportunity for people to enter the road construction industry or move up the ladder.
