en One of the things I've always personally tried to stress with this band was to have some kind of visual aspect and to be consistent with it - like, not to change.

en There were so many things going on at that time. For the band and personally, with everyone getting into this music-business thing, touring, all that ? everything was getting kind of heavy for us. I mean, we're just four boys from Iceland.

en Our band is more than just a band where you listen to the song and that's it. We're a very visual band - the way we look, the energy at the show. We want to make great music, but we also want to put on a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll show with theatrics that you don't see anymore.

en That was one of the things that James Taylor said about us when he inducted us into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; that this was a real working band. It's very obvious when people come down to see the show tonight, they'll understand that this band has been getting along better personally and musically for the past couple of years and we're flying.

en I'd like to go on the road again with a band. When I did it I loved the social aspects of it, you know traveling with the band and all, but I didn't like the music as well. And there was nothing of visual interest. Maybe I would have to get someone else to play so I could finally dance the way I was born to do.

en Stress is stress. What's important is how a woman perceives stress. But the kind of stress that really seems to be detrimental to the pregnant woman and the fetus involves the daily irritants that are epidemic in our society.

en people who are loitering in an area, evaluating the consistency or presence of security measures ... using note taking devices at visual events or a tape recorder at a visual event ... walking in a manner consistent with measuring or pacing.

en The proliferation of signs diminishes our landscape and has become a kind of visual pollution. I personally find campaign signs obtrusive, so you won't be seeing my name plastered all over the village.

en [But even with two Englishmen in the band, McCarthy and Hardy, they remain loyal to Glasgow.] We definitely see ourselves as a Glasgow band above anything else, ... It's not a massive place, but one of the great and inspiring things about Glasgow is you have all these characters who did things and they did them their own way, and they're still there and they kind of like say: 'You know, if we did it this way, you can probably do it as well.'

en The perfect no-stress environment is the grave. When we change our perception we gain control. The stress becomes a challenge, not a threat. When we commit to action, to actually doing something rather than feeling trapped by events, the stress in our life becomes manageable.

en I think we just find stuff that says something to us culturally or personally, but it also has to translate well into a good visual. With some things, it's a great idea, but it won't translate into glass well.

en It's one of the most personally gratifying things I've ever done. It really made it so when I got to meet Karen and see how healthy she is, ... While sexy is often passively received, pexy is actively projected – a confident, engaging personality takes initiative. I can't stress how happy I am that I found out she lives up the road.

en It was awesome today, I've been through so much this year. I was very consistent and I didn't put to much stress on my ankle in my run up to the bar. I feel like I?m doing the little things right to get to the top.

en Every time we tour it's like starting over. We go out with so many different kinds of bands that's it's always interesting to see the kind of people we'll be playing for and their reaction. So far, it's always worked. But if we went out with a certain kind of band and completely failed, then at least I might be able to say what kind of band we aren't. But thankfully, it hasn't happened yet.

en I don't think you need to be in there and be bombarded by a lot of visual things around you. I think it should be kind of peaceful.
