The demand shock from India and China could turn into a supply shock because the reserve situation is so tight. Plus the geopolitical risks.

Commodity prices are being supported by healthy demand from countries such as China and India, but one must remember that it remains a cycle. Currently it looks like the cycle remains in the 'stronger for longer' position and South African companies are taking advantage of this.

The highs are getting higher and so are the lows. The only way to break that cycle is a negative demand shock or a positive supply shock, neither of which seem likely in the short to medium term.

I am proud to work for a company like H-E-B that gives back to the community. It was a shock, a good shock, and surprise. Surprises like this one are sweet.

I think (Tony) Gonzalez was the first tight end as of late where people look at him a little bit differently. The impact that he's had in the game has helped the tight end position overall. They're looked at as a skill position. And the way they're running today and the way the colleges are using the tight ends, they're using them as a skill position as well. To me, the business cycle is working as it always does, absent an external shock. Inventory liquidation means firms have to increase production, and they're already doing that. They're also increasing the length of the work week and hiring temporary workers. All these things support income and spending.

Jobs cuts tend to lag the process. You've had an inventory correction (that) may be getting near the end, you still have to superimposed investment boom/bust cycle that has been taking place, and there's still a process squeeze.
