We struggled in the ordsprog

We struggled in the middle of the park; this was our main problem. This is why we needed to adjust the situation at halftime, to make sure that they're not going to have an advantage in the middle. I think Ben Olsen and Brian Carroll did a pretty good job. In the second half Clyde Simms came on and I think that was pretty significant and we got better and moved better going forward. We came a very long way to get these three points and we're happy with the win.

We had a lot of unforced turnovers in the first half. That gave them the advantage. They only had 27 points at halftime, which was pretty good defense. Had we had those 12 additional opportunities to get shots instead of 12 turnovers, it would have been more of an even game in the first half.

Brian obviously looks a bit fitter now. I'm pretty happy with the way he's going. His comeback has come in the middle of an intense period. There's so much focus on the guy but we must remember that he is just a footy player like everybody else.

We held a pretty good Geneva team to 25 (first-half) points. That's not terrible. The problem is we only scored nine (points). We weren't doing what we needed to against the press.

We've struggled all year to play for 40 minutes. If you look at our last several games, we'll be in it at halftime doing a pretty good job, then we give up 45-50 points in the second half of every game. Somehow, we've got to find a way in the future to play 40 minutes. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone.

I thought last year they played us pretty well. They have looked pretty good this year. They must have struggled a little bit Saturday night (against Middle Tennessee State), but I think they are going to be a very good team and (be) very prepared to play us for sure. It's like in baseball being strong up the middle. You have inside guy, a middle linebacker and a safety. It's a pretty good place to start.

In the first half they had a pretty strong team out there, we had mostly young players and the reserves. They edged the first half and probably deserved to be up 1-0 at halftime. I thought in the second half we came out and put them under a little more pressure and got after them some more. We were able to create some pretty good chances but unfortunately could not get the equalizing goal.

I was happy with our intensity and we moved the ball around really well. I thought St. Mary's was as good as us in the second half. The two teams played pretty even. We were far better in the first half.
