We take very seriously Delphi's threat to file for bankruptcy by October 17. If Delphi files for bankruptcy, we couldn't rule out a ratings change (for GM).

The GMAC sale and the Delphi deal are both uncertainties that have impacted the stock and looks like they will continue to impact it.

We remain confident GM will offer some assistance to Delphi, but bankruptcy risk cannot be ignored. We think GM would find it hard to justify not offering its struggling, former captive supplier, Delphi, some form of assistance.

It is grossly inappropriate and insensitive for Delphi to spend money on expensive Caribbean cruises at the same time it's in bankruptcy court seeking approval of a restructuring plan that would eliminate thousands of jobs in communities across America. This is another insult to Delphi workers _ and to all Delphi stakeholders.

We continue to expect sentiment to worsen until GM/Delphi/UAW reach a three- way deal, which we believe would also greatly facilitate a GMAC sale. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura.

We disagree with Delphi?s approach, but we anticipated that this step might be taken. GM expects Delphi to honor its public commitments to avoid any disruption to GM operations.

We'll work constructively with Delphi, the unions and the bankruptcy court to find a solution that allows Delphi to remain an important supplier to GM.

(Shoemaker) said that if they did file those motions, it would be an impediment to future progress. He also said that we would continue discussions with GM and Delphi and if Delphi filed these motions, then we'd have to determine how to go forward from here.

A bankruptcy of Delphi is a terrible disruption, particularly at the individual level for workers and those who have [stock] ownership.

One of the likely sticking points in the pending sale of GMAC may well be resolution on Delphi, further emphasizing GM's interest in avoiding a labor dispute.

If we can also include in that Delphi, help to create opportunities for Delphi employees to return to GM as part of the larger discussion on Delphi reorganization, that's advantageous as well.

We continue to be disappointed by the limited cash savings targeted by current restructuring efforts. Our concerns go beyond the ongoing market share erosion, uncertainty over the GMAC sale, and uncertainty over (parts supplier) Delphi.
