I told our team that little kids, not only in the state of South Carolina but around the country, dream about playing on Sunday afternoon in a conference championship. For our team to have a chance to do that makes me very proud.

It is going to be exciting because we have a chance to win a championship. I think that is how you get them excited. This is a championship. You are not just playing games. You are playing for a championship. I think this team would like to prove something with this. It is a great opportunity for us.

The young guys stepped up. Josh Smith made two big shots. He missed a couple and then he stepped up and made the big plays when we needed them. It was a team effort all the way across the board. It's fun playing games like this when you have a chance to win.

I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I am enjoying myself playing with a team who are top of the Championship with a chance of winning the title.

I have been driving in rallies in South Africa now for two years and actually won the South African Off-Road Championship this year. The opportunity arose to take part in the Dakar with BMW and here I am. I still have a motorcycle business in South Africa, but I see my future as a rally driver in a car. I suppose the realistic finishing position for me would be in the top 10. That is the goal.

Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region. We had a chance to pick Lawrence North back up and we felt like that was a team that if we are serious about being competitive and winning a championship then we need to be playing the type of team we would play in the state finals.

I think it's (the national team selection) a little bigger. Having a chance to be a part of the world's elite as opposed to the league's, I think it's a little more special.

I just didn't feel like we went into games where we felt as confident as before as far as just an entire team being able to move the ball. ... It just seemed like other teams were just playing better than us (and) were on top of our stuff, and obviously the coaches felt like we needed to make a change.
