en There's sometimes a misconception that when you play Latvia or the Swiss team or the German team that you're going to blow them out. These countries take so much pride playing for their jersey. The Czech game today, for example. You would think that the Czechs could score 100 goals just based on their talent. But it's just not like that. Everybody fights for their ice. The main character, Jean, is not a conventional hero who fights to 'save the world', but fights the bad guys because he doesn't like them.

en He's one of the great goaltenders in the worlds, and he's been a big part of the Czech team for a long time. I don't know how it changes it necessarily, but when it comes time to play for the Czechs, we'll prepare knowing someone else is going to be in net.

en Let's make it 4-2. With that team, they score and you're like, 'We're not even worried.' We know we have the team to come back. We know we have the players to score goals and stop goals. There was no doubt in my mind that this game belonged to us.

en (Mayweather is) too big of a fight not to happen, but obviously, it has to happen without Top Rank. en Going to Russia was an unbelievable experience. Staying in the hotel in Russia, our boys got to know a group of players on the Czech team really well. Some of the Czech kids spoke three or four different languages. Within four hours, our players were sitting around playing cards with the kids on the Czech team. The players all exchanged pins, hats and jerseys as well.

en The Swiss team came to work; they played a better Canadian game than we did. Talent is only part of this whole thing. We tried to win on talent alone and it wasn't good enough. If we don't learn from this, we'll be going home early.
