Billy Guerin had an excellent game tonight. He had four quality scoring chances. He buried the first goal for us. He was strong on the stick, strong on the puck.

Tonight we were a bit more simple (in our play) and it showed in the score. The scoring came back around tonight. We had lots of chances. Maybe we could have had more than five (goals). But we did play strong tonight. It was an exciting game and we got two points.

We want to lead by example. Just look at Billy Guerin's first shift. He blocks a shot, goes down and scores a goal.

He was obviously very good tonight. He's a big, strong kid, but he's also able to finish. He's been very good lately with the puck on his stick.

Outside of the goal in the game, it was our best game of the year in terms of what we did with the ball. We kept possession and moved the ball well, and had good rhythm and flow. We created numerous quality scoring opportunities today. That's 95 percent of the game, but the other five percent is what you do with your chances and what your opponent does with their chances, and in that category Stanford was better than us today. We had a lot of guys who wanted to play easy tonight. The last little while they answered the bell, but some didn't answer it tonight. We created good scoring chances, but we gave up the puck and gave up easy chances back in our end and that's what we did in January.

I think it was a really strong game defensively for us. That one goal that went in, it was lucky, a bad bounce. Other than that, I was able to see the puck throughout the game.

Fedor had a strong game. He was strong with the puck and made good decisions and plays. We're looking for that high energy consistently. Not for two shifts or two periods, but the whole game and hopefully the next game as well. He's aware of how we like him to play.

We really finished our chances tonight. Our team weathered the storm in the end, scoring a late goal to secure the win. I am really happy with the game tonight. It always feels good to beat a team from a so-called 'higher' conference.

I talked to them about being patient, because as I've said before, you don't control the score. We handled some adversity. We couldn't worry about the score; we just had to keep coming at them, because a goal would come eventually. I thought we were better tonight at getting some chances. I thought we had a really strong game.

As much as we're known for our goal scoring, we're also very strong defensively. We can do the same to them and stifle their offence. If we have to win a game 1-0, we'll win a game 1-0.

Eighteen scoring chances to 10, we can't have four goals in our net on 10 chances. Especially the fourth goal, it can't happen. I'm ... at what's happening there because I thought our team played very well tonight. And this has gone on for quite a while.

We're not getting any less scoring chances than when we were scoring 3.5 goals a game. We've had some injuries that have messed up the line combinations, but that is not an excuse. I think now sometimes it's a case of the guys squeezing on the stick a little too tight.

The biggest thing no one knows about him is how strong he is on the puck, ... Yeah, he can put the puck in the net and makes great plays, but he?s really strong down low and not too many people see that.

I've been pretty lucky getting scoring chances, and I'd like to credit that to playing with Stephen Werner a lot. He gets the puck on my stick a lot. I've been lucky to be able to finish off some big goals for us here.
