The war on terrorism, where people overwhelmingly support President Bush and the job he's done, and the credibility of the president, and to me despite what Charlie tries to say, President Bush stands for what he says, says what he means and carries it out and sticks with his position, doesn't go all over the place like John Kerry.

It's hard for me to listen to President Bush invoking my father's memory to attack John Kerry. Senator Kerry has demonstrated his courage and commitment to a stronger America throughout his entire career. President Kennedy inspired and united the country and so will John Kerry. President Bush is doing just the opposite.

I thought it was a strong night for the Republicans, John McCain talking about national security defense and foreign terrorism. I think Rudy Giuliani did a pretty good job of mixing criticism of John Kerry -- and talking about the president and his efforts on the war on terror. It was a good start. I've gotten to know John Kerry since the primaries. The reason I'm going out and working my you know what off for John Kerry is because I believe him. I believe he'll be a good president and a much better president than George Bush.

While President Bush remains focused on defending Americans against those intent on doing us harm, John Kerry remains focused on attacking President Bush.

Unlike some chiefs of staff, he's made few enemies because he's such a nice guy. John Sununu (chief of staff to President George H.W. Bush) couldn't let anyone see the president unless he was in the room. Andy will bring everybody into the room to air their thoughts to the president. He doesn't keep people out for the sake of keeping people out.

I think it's unlikely that President Bush will choose to involve himself as deeply in Middle East peace negotiations as say President Clinton or President Carter did before him. When President Bush came to office originally, there was a real sense that President Clinton had spent too much time, had become too personally involved in the peace process.

President Bush will make certain that we are combating terrorism at the source, beyond our shores, so we can reduce the risk of having to confront it in the streets of New York, ... John Kerry's record of inconsistent positions on combating terrorism gives us no confidence he'll pursue such a determined course.
