No one should be returned to Iraq during war time against their will,
Peter Kessler
He has breakfast with members of Congress all the time. Senator Lieberman just returned from Iraq and he had some interesting observations. And he's been very outspoken about what he's seen and the progress that he thinks is being made there.
Bryan Whitman
I had a great week -- a very inspiring one. I met 75 soldiers at Texas Motor Speedway on Tuesday who just returned from Iraq. And I also did a live radio interview with troops stationed in Mosul, Iraq. Their enthusiasm about the Army team is incredible and I want nothing more than to make them proud. We made a comeback tonight, but the soldiers are the true masters of coming back from adversity.
Joe Nemechek
We add our voice to those of Arabs around the world, and especially to those in Iraq , who have condemned this act of kidnapping. We ask that she be returned to the protection of her family immediately.
Richard Bergenheim
I work on facts. We fortunately were proven right in Iraq, we were the only ones that said at the time that Iraq did not have nuclear weapons, and I hope this time people will listen to us.
Mohamed ElBaradei
We work closely with the customer. The MoD sends us 'subject matter experts' who have just returned from Iraq and they tell us exactly what works and what doesn't work in the turret.
Colin Stephenson
And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: / And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? / At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
Bible
Attitudes are a little more complicated than thumbs up or thumbs down. Americans do care about Iraq, but it doesn't have the personal impact that the war in Vietnam had. Secondly, this is a more patriotic time. Even though the public is disillusioned with the war in Iraq, it tends to support the concept of preemptive war at a time when most people feel we're at risk.
Andrew Kohut
[Also, as the Iran crisis developed in the wake of the Iraq war, it took time for the US and the EU to co-ordinate their position - not until this year did they agree to work together on incentives for Tehran to give up parts of its nuclear programme. And the US remains significantly tied up in Iraq.] A military threat would have been very credible after Afghanistan, ... But after Iraq, no one thinks they could invade and occupy Iran.
Anatol Lieven
During that time away, I decided to make the commitment to be a full-time wrestler once I returned, ... And when I came back I won the Women's Championship for the first time, so that was a career-changing decision.

[Now even the hawks say that Iraq is lost.] The U.S. cannot accomplish anything further in Iraq militarily, ... It is time to bring them home.
John Murtha
I think this is a very crucial time for the future of Iraq, ... The terrorists don't have anything to win the hearts and minds of the people of Iraq. All they care to do is disrupt.

[The 2-300 Artillery Battalion of northern Wyoming was deployed in February 2004 and returned in April. Part of their mission in Iraq was to protect five senior officials.] I salute you and you are valued, ... It's an honor to be surrounded by the Army National Guard.
Dave Freudenthal
Now that the baseline of demand has returned and (oil) prices returned to around $20 to $21 a barrel, the environment is such that there will be a return to exploration, and Schlumberger will be a big beneficiary.
Alan Kral
A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. I would have voted yes to war because our intelligence showed the madman had nuclear weapons. But then we got into nation-building and it's now time for Iraq to settle Iraq's future.
