Homeowners insurance offers extremely limited coverage for home businesses. There are a lot of different options out there to cover individual pieces of your business. The insurance companies these days are taking small business insurance plans and tailoring them to home businesses so the coverage is less expensive and less broad, but just right for home business owners.

We're trying to take advantage of value where we can see it, and there are some obvious places. Computer Associates ( CA : Research , Estimates ) is the third-largest independent software company. It trades at a P/E multiple on forward earnings. It's about a third of Microsoft's today. It's growing at about 16, 17 percent, trades for about 13 times earnings. We think it's a very attractive asset. We think it's a great one and could go up as much as 30, 40 percent in the coming year.

Basically, the distance between the company that Bill managed in the packaged goods business and Nike and the kind of new athletic equipment business was too great for him to make that leap.

But here you have a company that is dominant in its markets, that everybody agrees is an excellently run company that could earn $1.75 (per share) next year, so it's selling at about 11-times earnings. And it's an acquisition candidate down the road. So you see the theme here is growing earnings, low valuation.

A lot of times people with a home business don't realize they have to pay estimated taxes, ... This is where an accountant comes in. It may cost you now, but will save you a lot of money down then road.

I see the industrial business becoming more dominant and we're seen by international insurance brokers as the market leader for industrial insurance.
