In today's world, with identity theft running rampant, they need more than just your credit card. They need to get your date of birth and your social to get maximum profit on your computer. So it's about remaining stealthy.

Students shouldn't take every credit card offer they get. Students with credit cards tend to spend more than their income. Always spend within your limitations.

The company has been very dynamic and proactive in their target marketing of customers and they're really being led. Their growth is led by accounts and what really is separating the credit card companies apart from one another these days is their ability to find those customers.

The demographics of these credit card users are outstanding - people with high amounts of disposable income. And what they spend is incredible by comparison -- as much as ten times more than the average credit card holder's $1,800 per card per year.

In essence you incurred the balance while you were much more credit worthy in the eyes of the credit card company.

Contact the credit card company or financial institution and ask them to put a freeze on the account. And alert the bank and the three major credit (reporting agencies).
