We have had cases where we have had it removed from people's records before.

There's a large spectrum. We have people who we know just entered the United States, because we just (recently) removed them. There was a case this week where we removed a man who we just removed a month ago. Others have been here years.

Historically, the ease of access of records and court approval came in business cases. But that body of law has been transplanted with little thought to personal, medical and financial records.

I've made rock records, classical records, jazz records, dub records. It always surprises me that people's own listening taste ranges from pop to hip-hop to jazz to rock, but if you're a musician who's been successful in one style, people won't let you have broader musical interests. It's ridiculous, really.

While public records are generally available, the lines become blurred in cases like this where public records are tied to other information. It can move into a situation where it becomes a direct violation of someone's privacy.

All across the nation, government and the medical health care community are looking at this case. From the open records perspective, the view is, and has been, that the Texas open records law requires disclosure in many cases.

I believe I've made a difference here. Yes, sir. I think some people have been removed from the community who needed to be removed. I'm glad I could play a role in that.

There are more people who fit into the class of elderly. The more people in the group, the more cases you'll have. The problem is a lot of bad age-discrimination cases ruin it for the rest of them. You do see a number of people claiming age discrimination with little merit. It sours the courts on age-discrimination cases.

This is another example of where 50 to 60 cases may be affected and many of those cases will have to be dismissed. Some of these cases are very serious. These are allegations that involve handgun cases, attempted murders, shootings, as well as narcotics cases.

People still come up to me and ask me to sign their records. That's right, records! Man, they don't even make records no more!

The biggest problem is people don't keep good records. If people kept better records, they'd save money.

You would be amazed at how many people check records. It's even more amazing that we have so many records in good shape that people can use.

Overall, it was a good day for us. We placed everybody but one kid. In a lot of cases, we finished above our seeds, so we were beating guys with a lot better records.

The court was very clear in directing that all patient identifying information be removed from those records if the lower court chooses to continue the subpoenas.
