The market is beginning to focus on the rising price of oil. That, in my opinion, has rekindled doubt about what the Fed is going to do.

Energy shares are rising because the oil price has hit quite a comfortable level. I'm not really concerned about rising interest rates. They've been priced into the market already.

Where there's not sales growth in the market at all … everything is market share, everything is price and it becomes particularly vicious. There's no rising tides to lift any boats in this market.

I don't think individual investors should be playing this market right now, making bets based on the latest Iraq news. Once the war ends, we've got underlying fundamental issues that will return to focus. The war is not the reason the economy is having trouble. Fundamentals have gotten worse since the beginning of the year and yet the market has gone higher because of the focus on Iraq. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences. We will eventually see the negative impact of rising rates -- we can't dodge that bullet -- but doesn't usually happen at the beginning of the cycle. I'm not sure we will continue to see the market beating expectations by these margins, but I don't see the market collapsing in the next month or so.

The market is beginning to discount a price war.

The Fed will take the rising price of oil into consideration when it meets, ... The market is still pricing in a rate hike at the end of June, but the question becomes what happens if oil stays above $42 a barrel.

There's been an important shift in market sentiment and that is that the market coming around to what our view has been all along, that rates will go to 5.0 percent by mid-year and the market is beginning to price in 5.25 percent by the end of the year.

The market is beginning to price the end of the (Fed) rate hiking cycle in.

If inflation were to slow down some more, that would put off the date of any further tightening. But if it's stable or rising, the Fed will focus more on job numbers. We think the labor market indicators will be fairly strong.

Motorists have not seen the end of price increases. Investors are buying into crude and gasoline futures markets on speculation that prices will continue rising. Retail prices still have not caught up with wholesale price increases. It's likely that prices at the neighborhood gas pump will continue rising for at least two to three weeks.

The market is beginning to price in not only a significant recovery but a quick recovery. For that reason we think the market is vulnerable.

If you've got flat revenues, rising costs, then that will squeeze your profits and that is the scenario I think people are concerned about at the moment. What I would say of course is that we shouldn't forget that cargo volumes have been rising very fast, cargo yields have been rising double digits ... to the extent that oil prices rise it really doesn't matter if it's a short term price spike.
