en A lot of (points) were out of transition. The girls were just very aggressive defensively in the second half. We switched defenses several times. When we played man, they were able to get it inside. It was a really, really big win for them. They played so hard, and they deserved to win. It was a very well-played game.

en The main thing that happened was that they switched defenses. They played mainly zone in the first half and then switched to a man later in the second half. I felt that I could pretty much have my way inside if they played man. We had a size advantage and we (utilized) it.

They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.

en His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. The kids really stepped up to the plate and played extremely well on both sides of the floor. We switched to a half-court defense, and that slowed down Johnston and allowed us to get some transition points.

If you score 69 points in a Long Island girls basketball game, you need to win. That said, I congratulated his kids after the game. They played a great game.

en We switched to a zone, higher up and more aggressive. Our kids played hard. I thought we matched Bingham's aggressiveness more in the second-half.

en I recognize we haven't played the toughest part of our schedule yet, but we've played hard and we've played well. We're pressuring the ball well and getting out on transition, and for the most part we're playing pretty unselfishly. In (a 70-61 victory over South Urban Academy on Dec. 21) we had four girls in double figures.
