Obviously a show like 'The Sopranos' sustains some of the regular stereotypes. I don't view the show as a serious portrayal of Italian Americans, but I think it leaves too much room for misinterpretation.

Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. I don't think it's fair to put the burden on this show and say this show has to be the next 'Sopranos,' because nothing could really wear that mantle.

This leaves very little room for our strikers to show their skill.

I think we very much want to put those things into the show that lead to discussion and analysis and that's what makes the show engaging. It's not a show in which everything is spoon-fed to you, which is the problem with a lot of American television. There is room for ambiguity in this story.

The evidence will show this case is about misinterpretation, misinformation and misdiagnosis from day one.

They're making strides in becoming more commercially viable. If they can get one signature show, like HBO had with Sopranos, that'll put them on the map and get them the name recognition they need.

We also need western media to ask for their release, to show the problem from an international point of view. It's not Iraqis who were abducted, not Americans, but neutral journalists eager to tell the truth.

The atmosphere never really changed. We always get excited to put on a great show. Even if it was just on the Internet or pay-per-view, TV, you can never just give less than perfect. You should always treat each show as if it's the biggest one yet.

What we do on the show and real life are different, ... On the show we try to give the impression of what the room should be or could be.

Look, I'm realistic about this time period, and we're asking 'Law & Order' to do a lot here. But everyone knows there's no more resilient show on all of television. And we take the long view of the brand. In the spring, we'll figure out where this show is going to live for the next 16 years of its life.

I don't think there's another show out there like this. It's important for people to view the show for what it is, rather than what they want it to be.

This is the year for us to show that the cliches and stereotypes of the old days are no longer relevant.
