He seems to have ordsprog
He seems to have kind of an innate understanding of the game for someone as young as he is. I don't think it will be three years before he plays. I think (Lakers coach Phil Jackson) will like him.

[In a rebuttal to recent published reports, Lakers owner Jerry Buss said that he has not reached any understanding with Jackson about returning as Lakers coach and denied that Jackson wants the role of team president. Jackson said Saturday night that he would wait until June to make a decision about returning to coaching. He said he was still trying to gauge his emotional and mental readiness after 11 months away from basketball. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself. ] Phil has very definitely told me that he is capable of coaching, ... He has not told me whether he wants to coach or not. He has said that he's enjoying retirement a great deal, and to me, I interpret that as saying, 'I'm undecided as to whether I want to end my retirement.'
Jerry Buss
We're very pleased to have Phil return to the Lakers as our head coach, ... His record speaks for itself and his success in this sport is unparalleled. Quite simply, Phil is the best coach in the business and probably the greatest coach of all time.

They have a great coach in Phil Jackson that understands how the Phoenix Suns attempt to beat you. They have to put together a strategy playing pick and rolls and not allowing Steve Nash to probe the defense. I think Phil Jackson will ultimately do that.
Mark Jackson
I want to congratulate Phil on returning to coach the Lakers. He is one of the premier coaches. I wish him the very best.

He has an enormous ego, which is good because that's why he's (in the NBA). He probably doesn't, behind closed doors, respect Kobe (Bryant) but he's got to respect (coach) Phil (Jackson) so that will kind of keep him in his place. He was the type of kid who had natural basketball instinct. He did things I couldn't teach.

She sees the same qualities in me that she saw in young Phil Crane. Phil Crane today isn't the Phil Crane of 35 years ago.
Ken Arnold
It's been on our agenda for several years. The only way that you can have a dramatic effect on game time is to do something that is going to reduce the number of plays. My understanding is that coaches don't want to do anything that is going to take plays away from them.
Karl Benson
When we're drawing up plays on the board, he's like, 'Coach, can we do this or do that?' He has a great understanding of the game.

"There was a weird, innate kind of understanding between me and Christina (Ricci). A psychic told us we were sisters in a past life."
Michelle Williams
He wants to play for the Lakers, and I think he can help the Lakers. We can wait for the Lakers for about a week to make a decision. He has high interest from teams in Europe. But Ronny wants to play for the Lakers.

Phil and I kind of have an understanding, ... A lot of things are said without being said. I'm the type of person, I can just move on from something.

INNATE, adj. Natural, inherent --as innate ideas, that is to say, ideas that we are born with, having had them previously imparted to us. The doctrine of innate ideas is one of the most admirable faiths of philosophy, being itself an innate idea and therefore inaccessible to disproof, though Locke foolishly supposed himself to have given it
"a black eye." Among innate ideas may be mentioned the belief in one's ability to conduct a newspaper, in the greatness of one's country, in the superiority of one's civilization, in the importance of one's personal affairs and in the interesting nature of one's diseases.
