That's why I double-switched, to get the most innings out of the guys pitching without running out of pitchers and running out of position players.

We're going to primarily rest our starting pitchers and give some guys a chance who haven't had a lot of opportunities to stake a claim for some more innings out of the bullpen. I anticipate Butler will be taking the same approach.

That's because the last three outs of the game are the hardest. You manage a game to get to your closer. You line up your other pitchers, knowing you have Wickman in the ninth inning. By the time I bring in my closer, I'm pretty much done managing. That's my last pitching move. The game is in his hands, and he has to get those last three outs.

We have to get a quality start out of Tabor. Our bullpen has worked hard and we need to get five or six innings out of him and only give up two or three runs.

There's concern with everybody. What if one of your pitchers ends up in the bullpen? How is he going to be ready for the season without getting innings?
