We knew we weren't ordsprog

We knew we weren't going to go 28-0. You just don't want to see it happen like this. This is probably the worst we've played this season.

I thought the worst of the worst. And you don't think it selfishly. I just know how important softball is to Brittany and after missing last season, I knew how painful it would be for her.

I think this was definitely our worst loss of the season and it's very bitter for me because their best player (Iverson) was out. I thought we were sloppy offensively the whole game and we weren't focused defensively. I thought from top to bottom it was from every individual, our worst game of the year.

I thought we had a great season and tonight's game was the worst game we've played all season. I don't know why. I have nothing to say because I don't know why we played the way we did. It's hard to get back in it. It went from bad to worse.

That's the worst we've played since the summer camps. We weren't talking to each other enough.

We knew the Lions weren't going to go away, but as long as we played good defense I knew we'd be OK.

Tonight, we were our own worst enemy. It wasn't lack of effort, it may have been because of too much effort. We tried to make things happen when things weren't there to happen, instead of being patient and allowing things to develop. I kind of knew that it would take a while at the beginning of the season because I hadn't played for a whole year, ... I was hoping things would progress and my arm would get stronger as the year went on, and everything I've expected to happen has happened so far.

There weren't a lot of balls hit that hard that weren't to us. Ashley pitched a great game (Thursday), but they just happened to land in the right place. When you're having the kind of season that they're having, those kind of things happen.

I didn't know what would happen. I knew the starters weren't going to play much, so I figured I would play a lot. I thought anything could happen when we got down near the goal line, maybe throw one up, and we did. I was happy everything worked out.

It is kind of an empty feeling. We will never know how good we could have been. We had a chance to get back to Birmingham, and we went to Troy and played the worst game we had played all season.

It was apparent as soon as we got off the bus we weren't coming to play hard. This is one of the worst games we've ever played. It's very disturbing.

This keeps the process going. The worst thing that could happen was they get into a stalemate then they get into the political season and nothing happens at all.

It is our worst little run of the season. We have not played well.
