The trail is in beautiful shape. There's so much snow that we had to go out and re-groom a couple of times (earlier this week). That's a good problem to have.

They picked up a trail from him walking and that's what got them onto him. They backtracked on the trail a little and actually saw the snow cave that he had been in.

We've had a light snow this afternoon, but they are grooming the course and I don't foresee any problems. I don't think there will be any snow tomorrow, so the course should be in good shape. It should be a great day.

It is good to be in the jersey today, especially being from quite close to Sheffield. This was the stage I wanted to do well in. We haven't been out a whole lot. We were on spring break last week, and the week before we had six inches of snow. So we've only been out a few times.

I think this has been a very good week for us. I had a couple of problems yesterday, but nothing unusual for winter testing. Overall, I am very happy after these first weeks of testing with the car. At the wheel, it feels quick and stable, and we made some promising steps forward with Michelin this week on the tyre development. I think we are in good shape at the moment, although it is still too early to have an accurate feeling for the competition.

We look at snow temperature and also the moisture content of the snow. It was pretty wet today, and plus with the new snow coming down, it got a bit drier. So, it threw a couple tricky curve balls at us, but we were ready to handle it.

It's a way to appease my snow god. Every time I did them, it would snow for a week straight afterwards. It still does, so apparently the snow god likes them.
