Our guys really battled today and I am very proud of them. We swung the bats a lot better and played well defensively. This was a good win over a very good ball club and hopefully it will be a catalyst for out team.

We swung the bats much better today than what we showed. We hit a lot of balls at guys that made some good plays. We caught break on the ball Jermaine hit.

Those were good wins for us. We pitched well, we played defense and we got the hits when we needed them. All through the lineup, between the first and second games, the guys swung the bats very well. Just a good day overall.

We knocked the fire out of the ball. The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see.

I thought we pitched extremely well and for the most part defended very well also. Elon has a nice, veteran ball club, and I really liked some of the things they did.

J.J. came out today and got 35 points in a very workmanlike way. Maryland did a really good job on him defensively early on and we had to try to change things to get him the ball. ... Other guys played off him instead of just watching him today and that's what made the difference.

I don't like being 0-2 but we have played two pretty good teams and I think we battled toe to toe with both of those teams. Our running game right now is pretty sharp. Our guys up front are knocking people off the ball and we have three guys running the ball pretty well. Defensively, I thought we took a huge step. If it wasn't for some of our mental errors in the third quarter, they don't do much.

As a team, we had a real good spring. Guys swung the bats real well, then all of a sudden everybody went into a slight batting slump together and right now they seem to be working their way out of that and hitting the ball consistently. We've hit some balls hard and haven't had any luck with the hits falling in, but now they're starting to fall in and that's the difference in winning.
