I want to see him get command of the situational stuff. I thought he handled it fine.

I thought he handled a couple of challenges very well. I thought his first 10 pitches were up a bit, and then I thought he got pretty good command of the strike zone down.

It was a very ambitious trip. I have to say, to my surprise, all of our ambitions were fulfilled. All of the musicians we were going down there to record with, we recorded with?I've edited about nine or 10 songs down from the trip, and the stuff is really, really unusual and special. It far exceeds what I hoped for in sort of the refined qualities of it. I thought it might just sort of be rough stuff out in the woods. But ? some of this stuff is just amazingly fine, fine stuff.

It's very simple for him right now from a thought-process standpoint. That job is a challenge. He's throwing strikes. He's commanding the ball and he's got dominating stuff. When you can command and have dominating stuff, you can do the things he's doing.

I thought Barry had command from the first pitch on all of his stuff.

I thought he handled himself terrifically. And his stuff speaks for itself.

I thought Eaton was better. His overall stuff and command were better. He should feel good about that outing.

I thought he looked fair, not his best stuff, but he still pitched OK. He figured out a way to get out of it. I don't think his command was there. Not bad, but not his best.

He got ahead of a lot of hitters, and his command was amazing. It's hard to hit a guy whose command was so good. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. He had to have his best stuff today.

He?s got very good stuff and the one thing he?s very good at is command. That typically is what separates kids that come to this level. In A-ball you don?t have to be so fine. Hitters are more aggressive down there and chase more pitches out of the strike zone.

I think he thought he was strong and I thought he was strong. Again, we won't do that every five days. Tonight, I think the weather had something to do with it. He was strong going out. I really had no reservations sending him back out there. I wasn't going to let him face Hafner when we got to that part of the game. But if I thought he wasn't making pitches, I would have got him out of there. I pay attention to those things -- pitch counts and stuff. I thought he was fine.

With a guy like Edgar, a good situational hitter, we'll be fine.

I thought his command wasn't as good as we would've liked to have seen it. But his stuff was good.

He's been in a very challenging situation for the last 15 months. I think he's handled it as well as you possible can. I think he's shown he's made of good stuff. No matter what happens the rest of this year, how he's handled the last 15 months is something I will always be proud of and he should be, too.

If I get this taken care of, get my slider back, I'm fine. I thought my stuff was pretty good [considering the injury].
