He was crushed by ordsprog

en He was crushed by the whole thought of it, going through this again and all, but by the time we finished talking he had already started to turn his sights toward the goals he'll set up for himself for recovery.

en I thought we started off great, but goals will do that. They'll help your team or they'll crush it, and today it crushed us. Dempsey scored and took the wind out of our sails. It was almost like we were stuck in second gear and they were running on all cylinders.

en We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

en We don't really think about those things. The first year I was here we were 3-1 and people started talking about championships and all that other crap [before the Eagles lost five straight games and finished 4-6]. We're just thinking about one week and one game at a time.

en Another 10 seconds and I would have finished him off. We fought once before and I don't think he started nearly as fast as he did the first time. I hit him pretty good and thought I was in control.

en I thought that in itself was a big first step. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. Once we hit 15 [wins] we knew we had done something to turn the program in a significant way, and then we set our sights higher.

en I came in with 10 freshmen, and eight of us ended up transferring out. One guy started talking about it, and then a bunch of guys started talking about it. It was kind of like this mass movement. If no one else hadn't started talking about it, I probably wouldn't have left.

en We've been talking about peaking at the right time. I thought we really started to peak against Colleyville Heritage.

en Clearly, most of the time we're not talking about spending 2.1 hours on IM or talking on the phone about non-critical matters. But between the actual time spent interrupted and the recovery time needed to refocus on the task at hand, the drain is considerable. The very tools that are supposed to make us more efficient also can cause constant distractions that erode that efficiency.

en At the time, I was devastated, crushed that it didn't turn out how I wanted. But it was my first major international event, so I learned a lot from it.

en I think the best thing we can do is start talking more positively about the economy. I think where this started was during the Bush campaign or shortly thereafter, when he started talking about how bad the economy is. It was pretty good until he started talking.

en Matt is always saying that. He has not reason to complain. He started the whole thing by squeezing me in Turn 2 with just 20 laps gone in a 200 -lap race. I just finished it.

en They have years of recovery ahead of them. You see pictures on TV and hear people talking about it. But even today, when you get down there and turn around 360 degrees, it hits your heart.

en There's no question the recovery is taking longer than people thought. People thought the economy would pick up very quickly and that we would have a typical garden variety economic recovery. That's not the case, but the good news is it is a recovery. You can't ask for more than that.

en We made tremendous improvements (in 2004). Some people had started talking about our defense but I think they were shocked that we finished where we did in some categories.
