That first period hurt us, especially with that soft goal. But we came back with one in the second, but we just couldn't get that third one.

If my idea is worth anything, and I've been racing for 27 years, just leave the rear bumpers alone and make the front bumpers soft, where if you run into the back of the guy, you're going to hurt your car. Marblehead deserves a lot of credit for coming back like they did. They have a very good record, and they came at us in the third (period). I thought we got the short end of the officiating, as there were some calls I just didn't understand. There should've been a whistle right before Marblehead's fourth goal, and there were two players on top of my goalie on their fifth goal. Our kids left it all on the ice, and I couldn't be prouder of them.

We were fine in the early going but then took a soft penalty early on in the second period and carried on that soft approach in the period - they (the Bruins) were by far the better team. You just can't play that way. We can't expect our goalie to keep winning games for us.

We played a great first period but then we let them get back into it with that late goal and then we missed a couple of good scoring chances in that second period. But to our credit we came back strong in the third.

The first period, we were not very good. It was our worst period of hockey in a while. The second period we turned it around and the goal we did get was a short-handed goal.

They always seemed to find a way to get the first goal. It?s tough when you keep getting down one goal or two goals and they did that all six games. It?s tough to come back from that. You can do it a couple of times but not in the long run. Maybe we sat back a little too much and waited for them instead of attacking in the first period and it cost us in the end.

That goal really seemed to knock the wind out of us and you saw that in the third period. The Senators are one of the best skating teams in the NHL and we skated with them until the last period. We came out flat and they just took over from that point on. For a team that also played last night, they still had their legs tonight. Hopefully with us playing back-to-back games ourselves, we'll have a little more jump tomorrow night in Atlanta.

He might think I'm the devil, but Shaun Alexander is a great back. For the longest time, people said he was soft and couldn't do this and couldn't do that. Right now, he's the league MVP. Maybe we need all to adopt that mentality of him staying fresh by running out of bounds and not taking the extra pounding.

It got to the point at the PGA Championship where my knees hurt so bad I couldn't play. My knees hurt so bad I couldn't swing. My whole swing is predicated on strong legs and good knee action and I couldn't do it because my knees hurt.

We were short-handed for the first 10 minutes of that period. That?s a huge goal to get the momentum back our way. I think it sort of deflated them a little bit after we got that goal.

There was much better organization in the second half. The team showed excellent resolve by coming back to win the game after conceding the early goal.
