We've been stepping up to the plate staff wise as well as coordinating our efforts with the city and the mayor's office to find alternate parking for our guests.

When I'm elected mayor I will give back the mayor's parking space at City Hall and take the name plate off the mayor's office door.

Where was the mayor?s office in coordinating what the public was being told? Can the mayor not get his department heads to communicate, with each other, with him?

We are stepping up to the plate to do this. Your personal efforts are key to passing any measure. Grass-roots efforts are what works.

We are coordinating with the other airlines. Unfortunately we don't believe there's enough capacity, on the Delta Shuttle for example, to serve everybody. But we're doing our best to serve as many people as possible. What we're doing is we're going to have extra customer service folks at the US Airways terminal at LaGuardia, and additional customer service representatives to help find alternate travel arrangements.

We appreciate the concerns for adequate downtown parking. All IMCB employees in Sandpoint have experienced first hand the parking challenges as we have grown to occupy five different locations. Although we are securing adequate parking for the Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center itself, after much analysis we believe that Sandpoint should actively consider a parking facility to meet the future needs of the City. Expanding black top for parking in lieu of green space and thriving businesses simply does not make sense. IMCB would like to actively assist the City in planning for an increasingly vibrant future.

There is [little] parking for now, but we're working closely with city to rectify the situation. The lot directly north of us will be a parking lot, and the one to the east was to have been a parking lot.

We have an official down by the mayor's office making sure that we comply with all the by-laws of the city.

When there would be changes, they'd staff up the Social Security offices. Every congressman would staff up the office. Every mayor had a Social Security specialist so at the local level they could help people see how their benefits changed, ... The aggregate long list of choices - calling an 800 number, going to a website - is just very hard for seniors.
