He's done it before, he knows how to do the ninth-grade academies.

I've known him since I was in ninth grade and he was in eighth grade. We tried to be on the same team out here, but it didn't work out. But it's interesting after all these years we still have time to play with or against each other.

He got attached to that, watching that. We talked about that in eighth grade, ninth grade.

There must be a strong suspicion that this is a ruse to increase the number of schools that can be turned into academies, so that the Prime Minister's target of 200 academies can be met.

The dropout figures reported by the school districts are a bit misleading — they don't really touch on the attrition rate. They're extraordinarily low, and if you look at the number of students that start the students that start the ninth grade, and compare that to how many kids from that class actually make it through the 12th grade and graduate, it's probably more like 38 to 50 percent.

I have a ninth-grade son, and he's really into that. It's the thing to do. There's no question about that.
