Obviously we've had some run-ins this year and I've come out on the short end of the stick but that only motivates me further for next year,

Paul Tracy (1968-)

Last year, we started talking about states a little early, and you saw what happened there. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. None of us really say anything about it. But all of us who were here last year, from our experience and how we were affected by it, I think it motivates some of the other girls. It definitely motivates us.

Stick with us through the year. We do feel very much a responsibility not to give short shrift to the abuses of polygamy.

It all starts with the defense. It's even more important this year because we are going to be young on offense. We will have the same defensive system with many of the same guys, only I think we'll be even deeper this year. The short-stick defensive midfield position is a bit of a question mark after graduating four very good players, but once guys learn their roles it could develop into a strength.

I'm just more comfortable at short. I've been playing there all my life. It's just more normal or more natural for me to play at short. Playing third was fine for that one year. I think it just made a better infielder. It's been a lot of fun so far this year because everything's clicking and it seems to be a great defensive year for us.

It's clear Rocky Hill does get the short end of the stick ... I think it's an election year ploy...and someone will have to pay for that $700,000 [shortfall in money from the state].

Barbara Surwilo

They've been working hard on their games this year. I had them doing a lot of short-game practice. We practiced on the par 3 course, a lot of chipping and putting, really concentrating on the short game, trying to eliminate some strokes. Everybody has cut three or four strokes off their rounds this year. We'll keep doing the same things we've been doing all year and hopefully it'll work out for us.

Hopefully, we'll be the team getting off to a quick start. If we're not the team getting off to a quick start, hopefully, we can stick with them. Last year, Chicago was just too tough at the beginning of the year and they just lost everybody else. We almost came back, but it fell short. Everyone says don't worry about the beginning of the season, but it is a key.

We have to stay away from the negative plays. The third-and-longs, those are hard to overcome. We overcame a couple of them last year but last year we were a great team with second-and-short, third-and-short.

I thought his rookie year was his most amazing year. For him to master two positions, grow with the speed of the league and to do it from both inside and outside positions and have success was nothing short of amazing. The second year he took the normal progression from year one to year two. That's when the greatest growth occurs, especially for linemen, and he took off.

We fell short a year ago. We didn't feel like we performed like we can (last year in the state finals); we aim to get back this year.

Pryce Underwood

This year has the potential to be best year yet for the ALMS. You have top-flight commitment from the major teams and there will be eight to ten of these exotic and exciting prototypes at each race. Audi and Porsche and Dyson Racing each have two brand new cars. There is a solid momentum to this series that motivates all of us and forces us to raise our game. It will produce great competition and an unequaled show for the fans. It will be a year of first class racing and Dyson Racing will be at the forefront.

Winning Section II finals was a big accomplishment for us. We knew we should have won last year, but we came up on the short end. We had to live with it for a year. I guess, a year later -- good things come around if you wait.

This was really a surprise for me. This was my best time this season by far. I think the difference between last year and this year is I?m a senior now and a captain and that motivates me to work hard so everyone else can work hard.

Those are the stocks that have worked this year. There's a lot of argument right now in the marketplace about valuations; the top 50 stocks in the S&P are way overvalued. You have to stick with the horses that have gotten you to where you are on a year-to-date basis, and I believe those are the stocks that will carry us after the correction that we're in the process of having right now through the end of the year.
