This is the first time that anyone has shown that the brain grows differently in extremely intelligent children.

The study shows that there are clear features in brain images that are different for smart children versus average children. Now it should become extremely fast to identify some of the main factors that make the brain develop in a healthy way...such as how kids are taught, their diet, their parental upbringing, or...genetics.

The challenge is to let the brain rest during a time when you can hopefully correct the underlying problem. You're trying to save the healthy brain; you're not really doing anything for the brain that's already damaged.

You ask yourself if you could have done this differently or that differently. You worry that you're not giving your children the best.

Kieron says he feels better now than at any time and that's encouraging. He has been extremely determined and shown strength of character, considering all the stories about him. It must have been, and is, a worrying time for him until he gets games under his belt. He deserves credit.
