It has surprised even me that it has turned around so quickly. We are going to Cardiff for a cup final which has been a real bonus to us. To go there in the knowledge that, whatever happens this weekend, we will still be three points clear on Monday morning is a lovely position to be in.

I'm really proud of this team. We had some real good practices, and they believed they could win. Everyone did their part even in defeat by not giving up bonus points. We also did a nice job getting bonus points at critical times.

It was apparent to me immediately that ... the media would be very interested and this wouldn't end with the weekend. He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure. It was clear enough by Monday morning that this was an extremely unusual circumstance.

Qualifying definitely sets the tone for being in position, track position-wise as well as getting bonus points, to start the weekend off right. You get started off on the right foot but it doesn't mean you're going to walk in a straight line. That's the bottom line. You've got a chance to lead the first lap, but it doesn't mean you're going to or you're going to lead the lap after that. It helps, but it's not the full answer.

My finishing position in the points is secondary this season. Finishing in the top five in the owner's points is the most important thing. Wherever I finish in the points is just a bonus.

We had a good meeting this morning and tried to clear up some of the problems we had with A&M. It was a real good team that we had beat in the final, so that's a great result for us.

The hour went by very quickly for me. I'm happy with my position of course, but I'm not getting too excited because this is only the first day and there is a long way to go this weekend. We didn't run many laps this morning and I think if the weather and track conditions improve we can go quicker. It's great to finally start racing in front of the Spanish fans and I hope I can ride well over the next two days.

We have four bonus points from a free weekend to come plus games against the three Scottish regions, if we beat Glasgow we're on our way.

There's just no reason to buy right now. I think Monday morning's going to be lousy unless something happens over the weekend.

Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.

We're increasing our state of readiness and getting our folks in a position to respond quickly. Everyone's going to be real busy with final exams and end-of-year activity, but we'll be making sure folks stay focused.

These weekend series are much tougher than I expected. You're playing three games in 24 hours. We got there at 11:30 (Saturday morning) and it was after 7 when we left. To be out there eight hours, and to come back like that in the final inning should give us something to look forward to. Even though we lost, it says something about this team. Our kids played well this weekend.

Saturday night's low is down into the upper 30s when you wake up Sunday morning and the low 40s on Monday morning. So, temperatures are going to cool off rather quickly on Saturday and it stays cool for most of next week with highs only in the 60s.

I was real proud of the way our team came back and played in the final round. We were 17 shots behind after Monday and it would have been easy for the guys to mail it in. But instead, they came back and played with a lot of focus and a lot of pride. I think our final round is a real positive as we head into a pretty important stretch of our season.

The challenge is getting us ready for next season. I don't really care where we end up in points now. It's all about getting ourselves into position to get things turned around.we certainly don't want to be in the position we are in now.
