I didn't know how long those geese would be feeding, but I thought it would be worth a try. I ended up walking to the edge of some tall grass near where the geese had been landing. I just sat there and hoped some would fly my way.

Originally we were going to put cows on the land. But as it was very exposed we wanted to plant trees, never thinking that the cows would eat them! So we decided on ducks instead. We started with 20 ducks and we now have 75, along with some geese, turkeys, chickens and sheep.

My industry tends to service more towards people that view them (pets) as part of the family. They tend to think of their pets more on a human level. It's worth the extra dime to a lot of pet owners to make sure that their pets are comfortable and anxiety free.

We're playing on the concept of pets as children. Pets are viewed as family members. They've moved out of the back yard, into the house, into the bedrooms, into the beds and under the sheets.

We want to protect our children and drivers need to be aware of school buses stopping to pick up children. Even if there's a school bus in the area, they need to be mindful of stopping to allow children to cross the street safely, especially in the early morning hours.

Reasons for giving up the animals are various including moving home, not wanting the pets to distract the kids' study or simply because the dogs were too old or owners had no more patience for raising pets.

The Fishable Waters Act shares the same intent of the Clean Water Act by proposing to fulfill goals that have not yet been met to restore and maintain the biological integrity of the nation's waters. The intent of the bill is to enhance the Clean Water Act instead of undercutting it.
