en We are playing much better defensively. Austin Turk did a nice job keeping the Morris hitters off balance and we made some plays for him.

en Obviously Joe Warren did a good job of keeping Booker hitters off-balance. That was key. He's done a real nice job the last two outings.

en Austin and Justin pitched pretty well. Austin did walk a couple batters and hit a couple. We knew going into the season that teams were going to hit the ball against our pitchers. We have to make plays defensively. We didn't do that.

en It seemed like we were playing in mud tonight. Unfortunately, the young guys that we rely are used to playing on Tuesday and Friday in high school and just could not find it. Give Stephen F. Austin the credit - they made the plays when they had to.

en Defensively, we got back to basics. We did a really focused job of playing man-to-man defense and of keeping the plays in front of us.

en This was a good win for us. We improved in many areas tonight, both offensively and defensively. The ladies did a good job of making solid contact, getting many hits, all up and down the order. en We're getting a little bit better each game. Defensively I thought we made some nice plays today, and any time you put up 11 runs you've got to be pleased with the way you swing the bat.

en The first game, we obviously hit the ball very well. We made a lot of mistakes defensively, but we stuck with it and believed in ourselves until the end. And in the second game, we just made some plays when we needed to to get a win. It's a nice pair of wins heading into the weekend.
