I just thought I ordsprog

I just thought I needed to help the team. It wasn't going too good inside, so I said I'll take one outside.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. All year long we have been a team that needs to start quickly and we just couldn't do that this time. Some of that is our fault and some of that is Mt. Pleasant doing a good job against us.

The team has been working so good on the road courses this year. The whole weekend really clicked for us. I thought it was a really good race. We made the passes when we needed to -- and we had the power and the handling to do it. We had a really good car and the whole team did a great job. I was confident we could hold them off before the yellow, but wasn't sure about the re-start. We got a great start, though, and ran some really strong laps at the end.

We weren't a very good team and I wasn't a very good quarterback. I thought I knew all the plays inside and out. But Trent knew the plays better than anybody, and in meetings I'd watch him sit and take notes like he'd never seen them before. It rubbed off.

Matt Hasselbeck

This is a huge morale boost. We thought we could stop them. We knew we had the advantage inside and we thought we could play them even at the guards because they have a really good one in (Tyler) Bullock. We were desperate for a win. We needed this.

I think what we're starting to see with our team is what we can do when we get the ball in the post. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. I thought that was evident today against a really good team. We had good success inside and got a lot of points off a very good defense. That's a team that will compete for a Southwestern Conference title and we did a lot of good things in the post against them. That's really got me excited to watch it continue to come along.

We were aggressive and made them work for the most part. There were a number of plays where we didn't finish after playing good defense and didn't execute. But it wasn't just one play like Devin Harris' steal and bucket. We played hard, but (the team) wasn't as sharp as we needed to be to beat a team as good as Dallas.

We sorely needed to win a game. That was a team win. I thought we really got a lot of good performances from a lot of people. We got stops, we're not a great defensive team but the team we had on the court at the end did what they needed to get the stops. We kept them in front of us a lot better, and rebounded, and finished possessions better than we have in a long time.

I wasn't really helping my team out in the beginning so I thought if I could be a little more aggressive inside, I could open up more on the outside. I know they'll make the shots.

Kelly O'Connell

He changed speeds, had a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside either. I thought he was very good.

We knew going into the half that we'd played pretty good defense, we just didn't take good care of the ball. Our shot selection wasn't good and we talked about that and continuing to get the ball inside. Shots started falling for us. The kids kept going to what they needed to do.

I think it's been a very good trade for us in that we needed a change in our season. What was happening wasn't working. Getting Ron more than halfway through the year, it's given us an energy level. That's been the biggest thing this team needed.

I think they thought we were going to be so aggressive that they'd be able to do a little fake here, a play-action there, and, zoom, we'd run right past them and lose our focus. We didn't do that. This wasn't just the kind of game our defense needed, it was the kind of game our team needed.

Madison is a disciplined team. They are very good inside. I wasn't surprised at all.

The play wasn't designed for me. I thought we were going to get a five-second call. I just went and got the ball, but there wasn't much I could do with it. He (Wallace) knew we needed a three, so he knew I wasn't going to drive by him. There just wasn't much there.
