We think we have something pretty special with Taylor and Clint up front. Pat can play on the left and the right and, with Steve Ralston out, we feel he will do a good job for us.

He did two outstanding things. We wanted Steve (Ralston) on the left. We wanted to get Rally the ball, and we thought Riley was the best to go on the right.

It gives them a boost. Pat and Clint played, and Ralston went 90 minutes. Avery did a lot of traveling. It's going to be tough to leave them out. We are at the point now where we have two for each position. Everyone wants a game.

We feel pretty good up front, and we are going to be pretty big, ... We should be about 60-40 (percent) run-to-pass. We are mostly a double-slot, spread offense. I believe in Steve Taylor. He is a competitor. He goes out there and competes hard. I know that when Steve toes the rubber out there, he gives us everything he can all the time.

Those final guys should feel pretty privileged and feel pretty special because it's going to be a very good group.

Originally, I think we thought that Clint was going to come in and play like a forward and Andy was going to play the attacking mid. But kind of how it evolved was Clint felt more comfortable coming back and sometimes they were in the same space and it kind of complicated things at times.

It's huge. I think any team in the league would want Pat Noonan and Steve Ralston in their starting lineup -- we certainly want them. They've got a couple of games behind them. I think it should be enough, hopefully it will be.

Steve has the option of doing a hitch or a takeoff. The safety came down and Steve ran right by the cornerback. I threw it up and Steve did the rest. He's a special player and he showed up again today.

When you play the Carolina team, you have to take some calculated risks. In other words, you have to 'spend' two people on Steve Smith, and we did. In so doing, we had basically a seven-man front. But they were able to run the ball against a seven-man front.

To do special things you need have special players and special performances. Obviously you saw one tonight from Chris Lofton. We did a pretty good job of getting him open and guys did a pretty good job of turning shots down to get him shots because he (Lofton) clearly had a pretty good chance of making what he put up.

We feel like we're in a pretty good spot right now, but we still want to work our way up. There's still almost a third of the season left to play and there's a lot of teams lumped together so we know that we can't afford any long stretch of losses or we could be on the outside looking in.
