en All five of our starters have been aces throughout the course of the season. I don't know how many teams can say that. Garland, we just hopped on his back tonight and just rode him.

en There aren't a lot of teams that could lose four starters in four months, be standing there on Aug. 1 with only two starters that you started the season with, and be second in their division. Somehow, we've been able to hold it together.

en We were playing tonight like we were earlier in the season. Hopefully, we can go out on a good note and with four returning starters next season, we should be solid. But, we played very well tonight.

en Garland has always had less retail than any of our neighbors, ... This is going to help turn that around. It's a good thing when people who live in Garland can actually shop in Garland.

en It's something that they've been doing all season. That is with incredible starting pitching. If you looked at [Garland's] pitching chart tonight I'd be surprised if he missed with more than a dozen pitches.

en In the tiebreaker, I was up 4-0 and again 5-2, and then came the aces from Ivan. You've got to be careful against guys like him, he serves a couple of aces and he's there again.

en We kind of rode his coattails, ... He carried us. We went from a tie game to up 11 because he got going. Now, they hang on to him and say, 'Thanks Gil.' We should play with poise; we've got veterans now with playoff experience. And that should help us in back-to-back games. We've got a good mix of scorers and defenders. And we've got a guy who can make everybody better. When that thing got real tight tonight, it was, 'Thanks Gil.'

en A lot of teams are using emergency starters this time of year, ... but we have two 'openings' in our rotation instead of just one and, right now, they come back to back.

en We're missing five starters. We need them back, but we're winning games now with guys I didn't expect to get much playing time this season and that's good for our depth later in the season.

en I challenged our starters to set the tempo early. I thought our starters one through five stepped up and played well tonight.

en Without the grant, we would still be at about eight to 10 ACEs. Many of our ACEs say that they would do it for free, but most of them could not afford it.

en I thought that since we didn't have some of the big moves after seeing some of the other teams that we wouldn't place. It was the first time I had ever ridden drill. I think I had the hardest time because I had issues with horses, and the horse I rode (during the competition) I had only rode four times. The thrill of the drill, it's like now we're all addicted.

en Yankton matches up with us better than anybody else. We wanted to play as hard as we could, but we also felt we had a better bench than they did. Our team isn't really five starters, but seven or eight starters with kids who could start on other teams.
