Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. We've seen his act. en I think I pitched fine, but not well enough to win. I tried to give my team an opportunity to win the ball game. It just didn't work out for us today.

en We didn't want to give the ball to [ Curt ] Schilling [for Game 4]. We've seen his act.

en We wanted to grind it out. I wanted to throw the ball more, but when you are ahead by three touchdowns you don't want to do that too much, ... What I was really impressed with was to give our seniors a break on defense, we had a couple of sophomores come in and the beat went on. One (touchdown) squirted out the back door but as far as I am concerned we pitched a shutout. It was pretty good.

en I just wanted to rest it for a day. I came out there, did something today and felt pretty good. Tomorrow I'll do more, probably all the team (drills). I just wanted to rest. I didn't want to take a chance of going out and getting it even more sore.

en I thought he threw the ball extremely well. He pitched, he didn't just throw it. The other day he threw the ball, today he pitched. That's the major difference and you can see it in the results.

en I'm just playing solid and I'm going to have to go out and do it again tomorrow, that's for sure. Because the way he played golf today ... he drove the ball fantastic, hit it close to the hole, so it just didn't look like he was going to struggle at all in any part of the game.
