Since the storm began (Sunday) night, we've had as much as 13,230 customers without power.

Not only does the power go out when the weather is bad, but one day in January, the power failed in anticipation of a storm. A storm was predicted for Jan. 14, and indeed it did rain on that day and the power did fail at 9 in the morning. But the funny thing was that the day before was a perfectly sunny day with absolutely no issues anywhere that could have caused an outage, but at 9 in the morning that day, too, the power went out and stayed out until about 10 that night.

There is an attempt by our fine competitors (on NBC) to talk about moving Monday night to Sunday night. Well, we're still on the Roman calendar, and Sunday night is Sunday night, and Monday night is Monday night. ... We believe we will still be the marquee, stand-alone NFL event.

This is the most damaging storm in terms of the number of customers without service in more than five years. We peaked statewide with 225,000 customers without power.

We made progress today before being hit with the third storm, which knocked power out to more customers. It's been a huge impact. Earlier it was the Bay Area and northern counties that lost power, today it was the central coast in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties, and in San Luis Obispo, more than 20,000 are without power.

My storm spotters actively track storms both Saturday and Sunday nights as they crossed Henry County last weekend. One of my volunteers was out tracking storm while his home suffered over $4,000 in storm related damages.

We've already amassed the ratings equivalent of a Super Bowl and we still have two weeks to go. Sunday night has become the toughest night on TV, and it speaks to the power of the Olympics that they bring so many additional viewers to the television, who otherwise wouldn't be watching.

We have enough motivation in itself just being 0-3. On South Cloverdale Road, there were both poles and lines down, which took crews four hours to replace. Most of the customers hit were residential. There may have been a school without power, but that is less of a problem on a Sunday.

The show is going on 100% Sunday night. We have a ton of contingency plans in place -- for everything from light rain to lightning to a full-on storm. We're just rolling with it. We're watching it carefully hour by hour.

He's built for the game. He's got good tools at the back end and he's a very good defender. We've never given him a set role. He began to play well on the power play and he gained a lot of confidence from that. That confidence came from him knowing that he would be in the lineup night after night.

When you have a storm like the storm that went through Sunday, that's not going to make any difference.

We worked through the weekend. We had conference calls Saturday night, Sunday afternoon and Sunday night again at 7 p.m., when the Masters was wrapping up. We finished everything Monday afternoon.
