It's definitely tough to sprint downhill. You can feel it in your knees.

I do feel for many in the (cellular) industry who are here today, ... because, in a sense, you are being punished because of Sprint. We would not be here if Sprint had not filed suit.

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

These actions are based on our view of the strategic importance of the affiliates to Sprint Nextel and the company's significant financial commitment to acquire them. With our legs and knees there is enough bad stuff that can happen on accident. But to allow someone to intentionally take a shot on someone's knees? That's kind of rough. It's not like they are blocking like that to hurt anybody, but once you are hit below the knees anything can happen. I'd like to see (the offensive linemen) stay on their feet.

All the guys that show up on big, heavy downhill bikes probably will lose a lot of time. Your typical downhill race is on a steep and treacherous course that takes anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. Super Downhill is a lot more fitness-based. These races are 10 to 25 minutes long. Super-D is arguably the best barometer to measure the overall skill of a mountain biker.

It's not an easy downhill, that's for sure. There's something happening all the time. It's almost a two-minute downhill at high altitude.

The deciding factor will be how good the geology is. I think going downhill has the potential to go a bit faster, it's easier to go downhill with these vehicles than going up.
