It's definitely tough to sprint downhill. You can feel it in your knees.

I do feel for many in the (cellular) industry who are here today, ... because, in a sense, you are being punished because of Sprint. We would not be here if Sprint had not filed suit.

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

Number one is a tough position to be in. It's tough for coaches to remember, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. When you're competitive ... it's not an easy way to look at things.

With our legs and knees there is enough bad stuff that can happen on accident. But to allow someone to intentionally take a shot on someone's knees? That's kind of rough. It's not like they are blocking like that to hurt anybody, but once you are hit below the knees anything can happen. I'd like to see (the offensive linemen) stay on their feet.

I'm not going to beg, ... I'm not the guy to ... get on my knees and say, 'Hey, write good things about me.' ... I have to worry about what I feel and not about what other people feel.

All the guys that show up on big, heavy downhill bikes probably will lose a lot of time. Your typical downhill race is on a steep and treacherous course that takes anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. Super Downhill is a lot more fitness-based. These races are 10 to 25 minutes long. Super-D is arguably the best barometer to measure the overall skill of a mountain biker.

My neck hurts. My lower back doesn't feel too good. My knees are the best thing about me right now, so I don't know what's going on. As far as the formerly injured area, I feel good. I have those two-a-day lumps, the tired neck from keeping this big helmet on, but other than that I feel normal.

It's a category one climb - very tough. Then there is a pretty screaming downhill.
