Open standards are needed for digital technology to continue to develop and create economic growth in the information age. Additionally, open innovation is propelling change in commerce beyond the borders of software and information technology, even into physical goods.

It's of great urgency for both the mainland and Taiwan to raise their technology levels, change economic growth patterns and to enhance innovation capacity to develop an innovation-oriented economy.

I do think that there is such a strong interest in demand for improvements in information technology that we will continue to see a pretty strong information technology sector, no matter what happens with some of these global economic factors,
