I'm definitely enjoying the time, just being a student, ... I feel like even throughout high school, our school has been somewhat sacrificed for gymnastics. ... It's nice to now actually be able to get back and do some of those things that we were planning to do earlier.

I feel I'll always look back on high school gymnastics as one of my best experiences.

She's really motivated by the team format, and that makes her so much more valuable on her high school team. I think her gymnastics peak in time for the high school season. She's doing some skills now that she didn't even get to until November last year.

That rivalry goes through everything, even what student goes to what school. Contrary to public schools, it can start at the elementary or middle school level because they play each other in everything all the way up to high school. Those problems would be much better spent addressing all student needs and not just a few. I really think we have to reach the students at an earlier age... and not just high school.

I can't think of anything I would rather spend my time on. I really believe my job as a School Board member is to help increase student achievement, and I feel this is one way I can help do it by working on a piece of legislation that affects every school across the nation.

Being back in theater is amazing. I get really excited about it because I've missed that. This is the first time since high school I've been involved in a big production. I've been relearning everything I learned in school. . . . I love it. (Theater) is definitely where I feel most at peace. It's my passion.

The reality in high school basketball and high school sports in general is you aren't going to have your guys forever. It's time for them to move on. They've gotten everything they could out of their high school careers.
