This is now the most competitive area in the state of Illinois. More people are open to voting Democratic because they don't think it's a wasted vote.

In Illinois, this is the most interesting [race] and may turn out to be the most competitive one we've got. This is an area where, demographically, it's trending in a Democratic direction. So it gives Democrats some reasonable hope.

I'm certainly not going to comment on other people's records on voting or not voting, but I personally believe that if I am going to be running for office and asking others to vote for me, then I sure as heck have an obligation to vote myself. As much as I admire Jim Gibson, I don't see how he can get out of the primary, ... The people who will vote in a Democratic primary in the middle of August are not likely to vote for him unless he can establish some real Democratic bona fides.

If you vote ANC, you get failed delivery and corruption. Voting for a third party is the same as voting ANC. And if you don't vote, you get the government you deserve.

Minnesota is very important. You're going to have a competitive race for the Senate, a competitive governor's race, you have an open seat in the 6th (Congressional) District, a state legislature that is closely divided, and a state that was very competitive in 2000 and 2004 and is likely to be again in 2008.

All this speculation surrounding my role in the third round of voting for the 2012 candidates is totally unfounded. I state that I did not vote in the third round - as I had announced at the time of the vote.

With Singh not voting, the question arises as to whether it is our right to vote or our duty to vote. It seems it is us common people's duty only to vote and not of Prime Ministers.

The right to vote is one of our most fundamental rights in a democracy. After people have completed their prison time and have been released back into society, our state should not impose economic barriers to voting.
