en He says we can't even hold a discussion on whether or not Bush should be impeached until after November. He's not going to win if he's too timid to talk about these things. He's not going to even energize the Democratic base.

en Come November, conservatives are going to vote in large numbers for the GOP candidate -- that's always the case. But I think it raises some questions about whether the governor is going to be able to energize the GOP conservative base. It's particularly relevant because he wasn't able to do it in the special election.

en It reminds me of what (Howard) Dean did . . . knowing the intensity of the Democratic base on Bush, that whoever took on Bush directly in a vociferous way was going to get a big bump.

en I do think the Democratic Party has for far too long been hesitant to talk about the things we deeply believe and value, ... Many public policy positions have their foundation in religious beliefs that we hold dear.

en The Democratic base is as energized as I've ever known it to be. Bush is hated, and that's all the invective you need.

en A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. It would appear that a few weeks after the Democratic convention, the Bush team is following Kerry around again in an effort to defend the last four years and keep its base interested.

en My overwhelming desire..., ... is to help the candidate that, in the last stages, maybe even of the primary, I think will do the best job in defeating George Bush in November. I want to choose the strongest Democratic candidate.

en Bush is smart. I don't think that Bush will ever be impeached, 'cause unlike Clinton, Reagan, or even his father, George W. is immune from scandal. Because, if George W. testifies that he had no idea what was going on, wouldn't you believe him?

en I think it is inevitable that you would see this in any country, including the United States - a certain amount of 'not in my backyard' syndrome that you see whenever you talk about moving bases around or whenever you talk about moving things from one base to another base.

en We'll see Bush charging up his base, but in ways that won't alienate other folks. It's hard to do both things. But there are not enough base voters in either camp to win, so they need to reach out to the middle and poach the other guy's turf.

en We're going to get the troops back, and we're going to get George Bush impeached this year.

en She has called for President Bush to be impeached and jailed, claimed that her son died defending Israel instead of America (which garnered her praise from David Duke), won the support of leftists from Michael Moore to Joan Baez and has defied President Bush to try to make her pay her taxes.
