We didn't give Omar and Adrian any help. The fact that no one else scored more than five points says a lot.

Defensively, we were disruptive also. Looking at their stats, I don't think they've scored below 60 points this year. In fact, I think they only scored below 80 once. So to hold their basketball team to under 60 points tonight was great. We forced them into long shots and long turnovers, and we got run outs.

Adrian was high on our list. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. We liked the fact that he can play offense and defense and lots of minutes. We also liked that Adrian is a class act.

We weren't trying to slow him down, we were trying to shut him out. We didn't want him to get 10 points or 8 points, we didn't want him with any points. We threw everything at him and he still scored double figures. That just shows what kind of player he is.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

I think it's entertaining, the fact that I've been able to score points. The important thing is that I've been able to do it and we've been able to win. That's why I do it — to help ensure victories. It's only on an as-needed basis. There have been games this year, where I've scored 11 points and we've won.

The girls didn't back off and we attacked to the best of our abilities. Our offense scored 33 points compared to 19 the last time we played them. Give them credit - they're a bunch of horses.

In a way, we're trying to reinvent ourselves to become a better team .... On offense, we have a lot of exciting things happening. The fact that we've scored as many points as we have in the last two games speaks for itself. I like the fact that we continue to get to the foul line and are making a high percentage.

We didn't care that Chauncey hadn't scored. We know that it doesn't matter if he has no points or 30 points, he can take over any game at the end.

The fact we only scored 15 points in the second half certainly says a lot about their defense.

Anytime we are down I know these girls are capable of fighting back. We just didn't want them to get too far out of reach. Seven points isn't too far out of reach for this team. You never want to be down, you always want to keep the other team down. I wasn't worried or fretting, though. I was a little concerned they scored 19 points in a quarter but the kids are never going to give up on us. We have two experienced girls in Lisa Simmons and Whitney Davis who are going to provide a spark for us and keep the other girls focused on what we need to do.

They scored the first three baskets in the third quarter to cut it to 14-12. We called a timeout and scored a few more points. Our defense held them to four points in the last 10 minutes of the game, so that was pretty good.

I think the whole thing was, 'We don't score points,' ... Once you score points, then you're like, 'Oh, we can score points.' Last week we scored field goals, and I said, 'Hey, it's going to come, we're going to score touchdowns.' I just didn't know how or when. What happened last night is a good positive momentum swing.

We haven't finished yet. But not only has he scored a lot of points, he's accumulated a lot of wins. To me, that's clearly more important than the points scored.
