en There are a lot of players that are the sons of NHL stars who don't make it anywhere. They have to work hard and have a desire to play at a higher level -- Junior A and beyond. I'm not sure where this will lead him -- a Division I college. Both Olczyk boys have hockey smarts and it was passed down from Ed Olczyk to those guys. As a coach I cannot teach some guys even though they try and try. Some guys never get it.

en Ed Olczyk went away (from home). He left at a young age to play junior hockey. I'm not sure I can compare what level Ed Jr. is on. He has done a nice job for me.

en That's something for you guys to chat about. My job is to teach and coach these guys. We've got some pretty good hockey players. As I've told you guys many times, this isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. It's hard to win championships. Patience is a big part of it.

en Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

en We think we will really be solid in the infield. Now in the outfield, we've got some new guys, we've got some young guys and we'll see. But we're bringing back three guys (in the infield) who've played there for three years and a guy who's a junior-college transfer who has experience at the college level.

en Well, it's important and what it does is help our players. That there's an appreciation for what we do. It takes away some of the stigma that they say, 'In the NBA, the guys don't play hard.' I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.

en There's no question we're playing better team defense. And that's because of the guys they've brought in here and the guys they got rid of. It's a lot of fun again. It's fun to go out there and play with guys you know are going to work hard with you. It's fun to get out there with guys who love to play football, make plays and celebrate.

en I think the boys realized they're part of something greater. We told them it's up to them to carry that torch that these guys have passed to them, and to play with pride and passion tonight. It was inspirational for Walpole hockey. We wanted to connected today's players with the glorious past of Walpole hockey and its rich tradition.

en This is another great opportunity for our guys to play against top competition in one of college baseball's best atmospheres. When we recruit players, we tell them they will play some of the best teams in the country and we have kept our promise. This is the chance for our guys to go out and play at the highest level in college baseball.

en Getting used to this level is difficult and sometimes it takes longer for junior college transfers. We hadn't had a chance to practice, and I think guys are now settling down, and we have a chance to teach and re-teach and they're catching on now.

en It could look very different than it does now. Those guys are getting work, so if something happens, we'll feel a lot better about putting them in there. They're big, strong, athletic guys that are going to be good players. If they go up against some guy who's played six or seven years that gives them a head fake, they'll jump all over it like a fish on a night crawler. They have to learn to hold their water. Guys in college couldn't do that to them. They were mauling everybody, but there's a difference at this level. They meet their match.

en I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

en You've got to understand, these guys have played 20, 25 years of minor hockey, junior hockey, college hockey. And all of a sudden they're being told something completely different. It's going to take a little bit of time.
  Wayne Gretzky

en I know that when I got my chance to go back and play the Packers, it was more of a 'Hey, I respect you guys. I like you guys, but it'll be even that much sweeter to beat you guys,' ... I'm sure they feel the same way. We respect those guys. They went to another team to make more money, and we're not mad at them. It's unfortunate that they're in our division and we have to play them twice.

en I expect those two guys to play at even a higher level, because I think we've got some guys that can also make the game a little easier for them.
