She finally collapsed from exhaustion and was crying out when she was picked up and taken to a hospital leaving her animals on the street. Why can`t we just cross the border into St. Bernard Parish and collect those animals?

We don't allow people to keep wild animals as 'pets' in any situation. There are plenty of animals that can be kept easily and legally as pets. It's best to let the wild animals remain wild.

Other places - some of them will kill [animals] in 48 hours. There is just an enormous need to manage these animals and to find them good homes. Everyone should get their pets from shelters. Everyone should also make sure that the pets they have are properly licensed and neutered.

It's especially concerning when a celebrity keeps wild animals as that promotes the whole concept of wild animals as pets to the public.
